Did you know that OnlyWillow has always been international? Although we set down roots in the beautiful Eden Valley, with our shop in Kirkby Stephen, from the very beginning we have been posting our handmade products across the globe.
We launched our Etsy shop in 2014. It was the perfect community marketplace for our brand. Etsy prides itself on being “home to a universe of special, extraordinary items, from unique handcrafted pieces to vintage treasures.” With similar ethics, focusing on the creation of real products with a human connection, we found a community of likeminded sellers and buyers.
It has been a great tool, helping us to refine our product range, learning what we do that stands us apart from other silversmiths. And we’ve had nearly 500 happy recipients through Etsy alone.
Online shopping has completely transformed the retail market and our economy, both locally and globally. It has been vital for so many in these past months, and our company wouldn’t be what it is today without an online portal through which we can be seen by prospective customers, anywhere in the world.
Sometimes it is an absolute thrill for Olivia to receive a commission for some far-flung place she has yet to visit. Knowing her jewellery can be shared and loved by people with completely different experiences and cultures, in any language, makes the world feel a bit closer, a bit more like a truly wholesome community.
We want to say thank you to all our customers, those here in the UK and across the pond, all over the USA.
Also; merci, gracias, Danke, Takk skal du ha, grazie, and tack… to all our many and varied European customers.
We love to receive all of your feedback, hearing your happiness makes our day! Whenever you make a purchase online, please remember to leave a review and do your bit to help make a crafter do a daily little happy dance.
Don’t forget to check out our previous blog OnWards! We are looking for five new brand ambassadors. Anyone can apply!
Stay Safe and Shop Local where you can.
