Perfect Product Partners, Part 1
Gift buying can cause mixed feelings in many. Some of you will relish the opportunity for some retail therapy and enjoy the entire process of spending time searching for that perfect something for a special someone. While others dread dragging themselves round the shops. It might be that you love browsing but can be indecisive, over thinking every option. Or maybe you have some awkward people to buy for, those lucky so and so’s who seem to have everything. Add to that the current uncertainty around when it’s safe to travel or be in public adding to the usual Xmas stress, this year’s festive season is going to be the trickiest to navigate yet.
With today’s blog we are hoping to make your gift buying experience a little easier. With 8 weeks left, there is still plenty of time to spread the cost, order personalised items and get it all delivered and wrapped in time for whatever festive plans you have.
Let us do some of the hard work for you and inspire you with our Perfect Product Partner suggestions. We’ve done some searching and selected handmade pieces by other crafters or artists whose work can compliment any OnlyWillow gifts.
As you know, we love jewellery. Making it, wearing it, giving it… Creating special pieces you can wear all day everyday from sterling silver, gold or rose gold.
These uniquely beautiful handmade pieces also need to be kept safe when not worn. What better way to add a little extra to a gift than with a complimentary second item!
Here we have paired our cute silver bee studs with a stunning but simple honeycomb motif trinket tray from Cornucopia Clay. Together they would make a lovely gift for any bee lover. Don’t forget we can add a silver bee pendant to any bangle, bracelet or necklace too.
Cornucopia Clay are based locally in Cumbria and have an Instagram and Etsy store with lots of lovely items to peruse. This floral mandala design trinket dish could easily hold our triple spinner bangle.
A personalised set of cufflinks inside their own personalised ring or trinket box from Goozeberry Hill can make a great commemorative gift for him.
Alternatively, maybe a dressing table display stand or desk tidying stand from Goozeberry Hill’s Etsy can help hold all your essentials and will make someone’s day. There’s plenty of room to store all the OnlyWillow jewellery you wear everyday.
For something completely different, we love these beautiful wire wrapped hair slides from Serenity. The designs can be personalised by adding any stones and even using alternative metals. Although based in Spain, we checked and Serenity do ship worldwide. Above you can see how their silver and turquoise design would go beautifully with our turquoise stone rings and silver bangles. Below, we’ve partnered a Citrine bead necklace with a matching slide.
While we are thinking about hair, we found Sunshine Artists on Instagram and fell in love with their clip in hand crafted hair wraps.
Our simple feather pendant necklace would pair perfectly with this dreamcatcher design. Sunshine Artists have many different colour combinations for you to choose from and they can be made to any length to suit your style. Check out their Etsy for more info.
And finally, something properly Christmassy. We still have slots available for November and December to create your perfect personalised presents. One of your festive favourites year after year are our Christmas decorations. They come in a multitude of shapes and can contain heart felt messages or witty one-liners.
In our shop in Kirkby Stephen, we stock products from South Lakes Aromatherapy, you may remember them from our very first Ones to Watch blog. For that special someone who loves Christmas, why not pair one of our personalised decorations with their Soy Wax Melt Advent Calendar, full of festive fragrances for the twelve days of Christmas.
Thank you to all our fellow artists and crafters for allowing us to include your work today.
If there are other artists and crafters that you follow who inspire you, and think others would love to see, tag us, @onlywillowjewellery, and maybe we will be able to feature them in another instalment.
Stay Safe and Shop Small and Local where you can.
